Photography for me is both an end and a means. In this gallery are photographs that stand alone, but just as often I use photography as a base for digital images, animation, and for painting. Over the years my skills with photography have infused my painting, and my traditional skills in painting have found their way into photography, by means of the study of light, composition, drama and reduction. For example it took many years to learn the difference between a subject that interested me, and a good photograph. This is the process of reduction and essence that every artist uses in one way or another, in order to focus the viewer on a vision that has been extracted from endless complexity.
